Polytecnic course is actually a diploma engineering course which you can pursue immedietly after your class 10th with minimum 50 %marks for general and 45% for sc and st .
It is a kind of junior engineering and after completing it you can go for Btech by lateral entry exam in which you can apply directly in the second year of engineering.
It is a good course for those who want to make their career in engineering can go for it after class 10 th only also if you dont want to do btech after it you can simply do jobs in companies as junior engineers .Initial salary would be low but it will increase with your experience. I hope it helped
