 Why President Macron Praised PM Modi at the UNGA

President of France Emmanuel Macron recently in the United Nation general assembly praised Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi for his recent message to Putin in which he said that ”this is not an era of war”. Recently in the BRICS summit PM Modi told Putin that this is not an era of war and war is causing huge loss to the entire world.

Macron Quoted Modi and said that the war must come to an end and all those countries who remained silent in  the matter should speak up for putting the war to an end.

France is the only nation in the Europe who is foreign policy is not completely aligned with the USA. Earlier Macron said that cornering Russia with several sanctions might cause trouble and could start a global war. Through these remarks of Macron, it is clear that France does not want to corner Russia like the west. France genuinely wants an end to the war by means of dialogue and diplomacy.

The quoting of the remarks of Modi in the UNGA is evident that the stature of India at the global stage. India has become an important part of the world order. France has always been a reliable partner of India and with them India is working jointly on various defence projects.
