The film is a historical period drama based on the book Ponniyin Selvan. The film is more lika a game of thrones of India where each character is trying to gain power and authority. The film is based on Chola dynasty.

Cinematography:

The cinematography of the movie is great. It is more of a realistic kind of cinematography. No Baahubaali type stunt has been done in this movie. Some specific scenes are epic and stummimg.

Screenplay:

The screenplay of the movie is slow paced and might bore the audience but we need to keep in mind that this is based on history so expecting baahubaal type stuff from this movie is not fair.

Direction:

The direction of the movie is great Maniratnam has shot the movie in a very realistic approach, everything is realistic and not over the top unlike Baahubaali.

Acting:

All the actors have done a great job and their performances are good. From acting point of view the film is good.

Overall the film is good you can definitely watch it the big screen, it will definitely give you a great experience.
