Taiwan Will Use Porcupine Strategy To Defend Itself From China
Taiwan Will Use Porcupine Strategy Against China
Recently
China became angry as the speaker of parliament of USA Nancy Pelosi visited
Taiwan. After the visit China went wild and started firing missiles near
Taiwan, few of those missiles landed in the special economic zone of Japan and
Japan lodged protest against it. The world is anticipating a possible invasion
of Taiwan by China. To defend itself from China, Taiwan is preparing for
porcupine strategy against China. In this article we will discuss, that what
this porcupine strategy is and how will Taiwan defend itself with the help of
this strategy.
Porcupine is
a small animal which defends itself from bigger animals through the spikes on
its body, when a large animal like lion tries to eat a porcupine, it had to eat
the spikes on the body of the porcupine, which becomes very painful for the
lion and in many cases the bigger animal dies after eating the porcupine. So
Taiwan is going to do something similar against China. The military budget of
China is 230 Billion US dollar and the military budget of Taiwan is only 8-10
Billion US dollar. So militarily Taiwan is nowhere near China and Taiwan know
this fact, that’s why they have not procured useless military equipment like
Tanks and naval warships, because Taiwan is an island nation and tanks will not
be of any use during a war as the attack would be through the sea.
Taiwan has
procured many mines laying ships, land mines and missiles. Taiwan knows that it
is nowhere near China in terms of military so it wants to convey the message to
China that, if China wants it can invade Taiwan and capture it completely, but
the price the Chinese military would have to pay would be huge, China will
loose many of its soldiers in the war. Even if China captures Taiwan
completely, its military would become so weak that it would not be able to
challenge the US military and its allies. Remember that China has many enemies
and they would think twice before invading Taiwan and loosing large number of soldiers.
