 People Of Taiwan Are Protesting Against Nancy Pelosi's Visit

Recently the speaker of the US parliament Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan, Over which China became angry and started doing military drills near Taiwan. But a lot of Taiwanese people protested against the visit of Nancy Pelosi. In this article we will discuss why people of Taiwan protested against the visit.

Taiwan is an Island nation which is claimed by China as its own territory but Taiwan calls itself an independent nation. Recently Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan. Although the government of Taiwan welcomed Pelosi, many Taiwanese people protested against it as they feared that this visit could start an unnecessary war between Taiwan and China, the world have seen what US did in the case of Ukraine war, USA didn’t sent a single military personnel to Ukraine and just supported Ukraine diplomatically and through military aid. The people of Taiwan are fearing that USA would do the same thing in case of China’s attack on Taiwan and the fear is genuine. After the visit of Nancy Pelosi, China has started conducting military drills near Taiwan. The US navy was deployed only for the safety of Nancy Pelosi, after the visit, the US navy went back and if a sudden invasion starts from China, then there is a very less chance that the US army would come for help of Taiwan. The people of Taiwan feels that the visit only provoked China to attack Taiwan and did no good to Taiwan.
