Many people have many questions about marine engineering course.so today I am going to tell you about the marine engineering course and its job perspective.
So first we need to learn that what is marine engineering.So basically marine engineering deals with ships ,submarines,their structures and study of their mechanism.So if you are passionate about this you can definitely go for marine engineering.
But mind it marine engineering course is a very tough course and life after marine engineering is also tough .It is different from other engineering courses ,you have to stay in hostel to study this course no matter how near is your home from college you have to stay in hostel.Also you have to be physically  fit in order to pursue this course and also there will be parade and march past everday .After getting job you cant relax in a AC office and do work on computer instead you have to stay in the engine room of ship which is extremely hot and thats why marine engineers life is so tough.
Now lets come to the course fee so the course fee is very high if compared to other engineering stream fees .The fees may vary between 10-12 lacs for 4 years .So it is an expensive course.
But the salary of Marine engineers are also very high ,their average starting salary is almost 1-2 lacs per month so the salary is much higher as compared to other engineering streams.
Now lets talk about how to take admission in this course.
So to get admission in marine engineering course jee mains and other exams are not valid.To get admission in this course you have to appear for IMUCET exam which is conducted by Indian Maritame University.If you are able to clear this exam then only you can study marine engineering. As all marine engineering colleges are under IMU so if you want to pursue marine
engineering start preparing for IMUCET.
