Are IIT engineering courses up to date?
IITs are the
most reputed Institutes of India which is famous for its engineering programs,
IITs provide both bachelors and master’s courses. Not only in India IITs are
also famous in abroad. If a student gets
admission in IITs in India, then their parents think that their child’s life is
settled, it is because of the lucrative job packages students get from IITs,
even some of the students who are toppers of their respective batches get
international placements worth crores.
So the institute which is this much capable and potent, do you think that their syllabus might be outdated? Well obviously not. Remember that most of the big tech giants like google, Microsoft, facebook hire students from from IITs. So if the syllabus of IITs are outdated, then why these tech giants are hiring students from IIT’s? Every company wants profit and they would therefore never hire someone for crores of rupees who is not capable of doing any advanced tech related work.
Also we need to keep in
mind that most of the CEOs of big tech companies are passout students of IITs
for example Sundar Pichai, Satya Nadella, etc. So these are the evident that
IITs are very much capable and updated institutes.
Apart from
IITs and NITs, the syllabus of most of the engineering colleges of India are
outdated and never ever updated, so students passing out from these institutes
when they go for job they found a big difference in what they have learnt in
the past four years in college and what they do in their professional career, So
if anyone is willing to pursue engineering in India, they must target for
admission in IITs and NITs apart from these colleges, pursuing engineering from
tier two or three colleges are useless. This is the reason why most of the
engineers in India are unemployable.
