We all have this question in mind that can India play 2026 football world cup which will be hosted by USA, Canada and Mexico. India is already disqualified from the 2022 football world cup and now the football fans of India are wondering if India can qualify for 2026 football world cup.

The chance of India for qualifying in 2026 football world cup increases because in 2026 world cup in total 48 teams will be qualified and from Asia total 8 teams will be qualified rather than 4 teams so the chance of qualifying almost doubles, but for that India have to be among the top 10 asian teams, but India is far behind that mark, currently India’s ranking in Asia is 19 which is very poor. For a country of 1.4 billion population this performance is very poor, but the chance of improvement is there. But as fans we need to also show our support to our national football team. The captain of India Sunil Chettri is now third in the world with most international goals behind Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo which a matter of pride for all Indians. If fans don’t come to stadium or support the team and expect them to qualify for world cup then that is not going to happen, ISL has changed Indian football a lot but more improvement is required.
