MAKAUT New Continous Assessment (CA) Rules 2022

 

MAKAUT which stands for ‘Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology’ has recently a draft has been sent by MAKAUT to all the colleges who are affiliated to it stating that, the Continuous assessment or CA will now be conducted in a different way. In each semester total 4 CAs are conducted by MAKAUT.

 Earlier the CA were used to be conducted through internal exams conducted by the colleges. Now also the CAs will be conducted by the colleges, but in a different way, So lets talk about them one by one:

MAKAUT New CA Rules:

CA 1: According to the draft, the CA 1 will be conducted via presentation, quiz and group discussion. Students would have to make powerpoint presentations related to the subjects in their curriculum and based on that quiz and group discussions will be conducted. The marks of  this CA will be awarded by the teachers of the respective colleges only but a pdf copy of the presentation will be uploaded on the portal of the university.

CA 2: The CA 2 will be conducted through report writing, students would be instructed to make reports on the topics related to their course curriculum and they will be evaluated on the basis of their report writing skills. The pdf copies of the report submitted by the students will be uploaded to the university portal

CA 3: CA 3 will be conducted through pen and paper test. The test will be conducted by the respective colleges and marks will also be awarded by the colleges only and pdf copies of the answer scripts of the  students will be uploaded in the university portal.

CA 4: The CA 4 will be conducted through proctored MCQ based exam and the exam will be conducted by the university. The exam will be very much similar to the end semester online exams. In CA 4 entire syllabus of the semester will be included.

Note that MAKAUT has not yet officially informed anything and just has published a draft. Whether this draft is implemented by the university or not we will have to see, but most probably this draft will be implemented soon.
