The Golden Boy Neeraj Chopra Qualified for World Athletics Championship Final
In the World
Athletics championship 2022, total 34 Javelin thrower participated from various
countries all over the world including the golden boy of India. Neeraj Chopra
in his first attempt threw the javelin 88.39 metres away and has qualified for
the final of the Men’s Event.
It is the
first time that he has qualified for the final of the world Athletics
Championship. It was the third best throw of Neeraj Chopra’s entire career, he
has again made himself as well as India proud. Along with Neeraj Chopra another
Indian Javelin thrower Rohit Yadav will also be seen competing in the Group B.
The Final will take place on Sunday:
Out of these
34 javelin throwers, top 12 performers will compete with each other for the
gold medal in the final. The final will take place on 24th July,
2022 at 7:05 am according to the Indian time.
Neeraj
Chopra has been phenomenal in this season. On 14th July, in Paavo
Nurmi Games in Finland, he threw the javelin 89.3 metres away and in famous
Stockholm Diamond League, he threw the javelin 89.94 metres away, and missed
the 90 metres mark just by few centimetres.
In the
Diamond league he secured second position and Anderson Peters became first with
a big throw of 90.31 meters.
Neeraj
Chopra has impressed everyone with his performance with javelin and we hope
that in the future he will break more records and make India proud.
