Most of the people after graduation gets into a dilemma that whether to go for government job or appear for CAT exam and do an MBA from top colleges of India. They couldn’t figure out that which one would be good for them.

So in this article we will do a comparison between SSC CGL and CAT exam and will look into every aspect of it deeply.

Before going into the topic we need to understand that what is SSC CGL exam and what is CAT. So lets first look into that.

Common Aptitude Test (CAT):

Cat is an exam which is conducted by the various IIMs of India for admission in MBA courses. After clearing the exam, the candidates have to pursue a two year MBA degree to get a job, so Cat is basically an entrance exam. The jobs that a person get after completing MBA is usually a very high paying job in various private companies. The salaries usually range from 12-50 lakhs and sometimes even crosses one crore.

SSC CGL:

CGL is an exam which is conducted by the Staff selection commission (SSC) for recruitment in various posts of government agencies like the CBI, IB, income tax department  etc. After cracking this exam the candidates gets a job as it is a recruitment exam and not an entrance exam. The job you get after cracking this exam is government job. The initial salary offered is around 6-8 lakhs.
