CAT cut-off for Scheduled caste (SC) Engineer Male
CAT is considered
one of the toughest exams in India, it is an exam which is conducted every year
by the IIMs for admission in various MBA colleges in India. Every year more
than 2 lakh students apply for CAT and out of them only about 5500 students are
selected, so the competition is tough.
Although the
competition for general candidates is very high, the reserved candidates like
Sc, St, OBC get comparatively less competition. So in this article we will talk
about the cut-off required to get call from the IIMs for Sc candidate engineer
male.
Cut-off for Scheduled caste(SC)
Engineer Male:
So for a Sc
engineer male candidate the cut-off required to start getting call from IIMs is
higher than 80 percentile, above the 80 percentile mark you will start getting
call from IIMs, but let me make it very clear that just only getting 80
percentile will not be enough to get call from all IIMS, at 80 percentile you
will start getting call from main and baby IIMS.
For getting
a call from old IIMs you need to score minimum 90 percentile, Also getting a
call is not enough to get admission in IIMs, converting the call is the main
thing. So after getting a call you need to work hard for the preparation of
interview.
Now that we
have discussed about the cut-off percentile, lets talk about the marks required
in each section to achieve this percentile.
In order to
get 80 percentile in overall you need to score 27 marks in verbal section, 15
marks in DILR and 12 marks in the quant section. Now let me make it clear that
these are not actual marks and may change with respect to the difficulty level
of the paper.
In order to
score 90 percentile in CAT you need to score 30 marks in verbal section, 20
marks in DILR section and 18 marks in quant section.
